The Si-Tex MDA-5 is a high-power 5W SOTDMA Class B AIS transceiver with a built-in antenna splitter and long-range Wi-Fi. It is the world's most sophisticated fully certified 5-Watt SOTDMA Class B AIS Mobile on the market. With a 5-watt transmitter power, your vessel will be seen at longer ranges by other vessels and via AIS websites. The MDA-5 has SOTDMA Class A Priorities, which means that your vessel will always transmit and be seen in very congested Commercial Harbors and Ports where traditional Class B units don't have network priority. The unit has an integrated zero-loss VHF antenna splitter, so no second antenna is needed.

The MDA-5 has built-in 802.11 b/g/n long-range Wi-Fi, which allows the unit to send AIS and position data to any Wi-Fi connected devices. It has an NMEA-0183 data port, NMEA-2000 & USB intelligent connectivity to all bridge systems, and a built-in GPS & GLONASS satellite navigation receiver. The unit is water-proof certified to IPX7 and has dual receivers that decode all DSC & AIS messages, including MOB & SART. It is ultra-power efficient and IEC-62287-2, FCC, and USCG certified.
