The Octaf1212Lam12 Linear Drive features a solenoid valve that allows for easy switching between manual and automatic steering modes. When the autopilot is not in use, the cylinder runs freely along with the rudder. However, when the automatic pilot is engaged, the solenoid valve closes and locks the cylinder, enabling precise steering control. The actuator is powered by a 12VDC motor, which drives the pump to move the cylinder back and forth based on the steering signals from the pilot.
