The Swivel Base Rod Holder by Lee's Tackle is the ultimate rod holder for the serious sportsman. Designed primarily for use with bent butt tackle, this rod holder features a unique swivel base that allows the rod butt to rotate when side pressure is applied to the tip of the rod.

This indispensable tool is especially important in Giant Blue Fin Tuna fishing, where reel drags of up to 60 pounds are commonly used, exerting tremendous forces on the rod holder pin. With the swivel base, sheared rod holder pins are a thing of the past, and the tip of the rod can easily follow the fish, reducing the possibility of line fraying and enhanced drag.

The Swivel Base Rod Holder can also be used with straight butt rods, functioning as a standard rod holder. Straight butt rods can be manually rotated to ensure the line remains on the tips roller. The swivel torque can be adjusted by modifying the pressure on two nylon drag washers with a 1/2 inch stainless steel lock nut located at the bottom of the rod holder.
