M85 VHF Handheld Radio (ICOM)

The M85 VHF Handheld Radio (ICOM) is the smallest, lightest, and toughest radio on the market today! It is built to MIL-STD 810 standards, making it capable of withstanding hazardous and inhospitable environments at sea and on land. With its IP67 waterproof rating, this radio can even survive being dropped in the water.

Yacht and commercial customers particularly appreciate the M85 for its 100 programmable land mobile channels, as well as its built-in voice scrambler for private communications. This handheld radio is packed with features, including a self-check function for monitoring internal temperature and battery voltage, priority scan function, dual/tri-watch function for monitoring CH16 and/or call channel, and a favorite channel function for quick access to frequently used channels.

The user-friendly display of the M85 includes icons and indicators for transmit power, VOX ON/OFF, battery status, scan, weather channel, and more. These icons and indicators enhance the user experience and simplify operation. The radio also features a continuous 20-position rotary selector and an ON/OFF volume knob that is tilted for easy access.

In emergency situations, the M85 offers the MOB Alarm, Man Down, and lone worker functions. Activating any of these functions automatically triggers an emergency alarm. Additionally, the built-in voice scrambler ensures private communications between stations. The multi-function button on the top of the radio can be assigned to activate the scrambler function or switch between marine and land mobile frequencies.

In addition to VHF marine channels, the M85 also covers 136—174MHz land mobile frequencies. It provides up to 100 programmable channels for land mobile use at 2W output power. Each channel is programmable with CTCSS and DTCS tone.
