The Brainboxes ES-346 is a serial server that provides access to four RS422/485 serial ports. With data transfer rates up to 1,000,000 baud rates and 1Mbit/s line drivers, it delivers uncompromising performance. The ES range offers simple instant networked serial ports for easy connectivity.

The RS485 configuration of the ES-346 uses a half-duplex setup with autogating, ensuring trouble-free data transmission through automatic control of data direction. The device can be configured and controlled securely over a local network or the internet using any browser through its web interface.

For Windows users, the ES-346 comes with a custom-designed driver (32-bit and 64-bit), which provides local COM ports and allows connection to remote devices across the network as if they were attached locally. Additionally, the device can be accessed via TCP/IP sockets from any networked device such as an Android tablet, PC, or phone. Serial Port Tunneling is also supported, allowing serial cable replacement over any distance without the need for additional software.
