Arco 5387 P Starter & Charger for J/E V6 & V8 Loop - Compatible with 586289

The Arco 5387 P Starter & Charger is compatible with Johnson/Evinrude V6 and V8 loop outboard engines with 115-300 HP E-TEC and 10-tooth drive gear. It is a dynamically tested and packaged product that is designed for long life and optimum performance. The starter is nickel-coated and epoxy-painted to reduce corrosion and sealed to minimize water intrusion. The armatures are tested to withstand 50 times operating voltages (12 volts).

ARCO advises using a fully charged battery to prevent damage to the starter and starter solenoid. It is also recommended to clean all connections to ensure an efficient starting circuit. A corroded connection creates resistance, lowering the amperage required for starting.
