The APC AP8830 Power Distribution Unit (PDU) is a black rack-mounted device that provides active metering, energy optimization, and circuit protection. It features 24 AC outlets and is designed to distribute power to multiple outlets in data center environments. This PDU offers user-defined alarm thresholds, real-time local and remote alerts, and power utilization data to help Data Center Managers optimize energy usage and make informed decisions for load balancing and right sizing IT environments. It includes a local current monitoring display, load indicator LED, and wide range of input and output connections. The PDU can be accessed and configured through secure web, SNMP, or Telnet interfaces, and it integrates with APC Centralized Management platforms using InfraStruxure Central, Operations, Capacity, and Energy Efficiency.
